Mr. Frank G. Troxler
BURLINGTON — Mr. Frank G. Troxler , 89, of 3667 Troxler Lane, Elon, died Friday, Feb. 2, 2007 at 7 a.m. after several years of failing health. He died at his home between the rivers, where he was born, raised and farmed all his life.
A native of Alamance County, he was the husband of the late Rachel Willis Troxler and the son of Joseph Henry Troxler and Mabel Squires Troxler , both deceased. He was a life member of Fairview United Methodist Church where he participated in the church choir, the Methodist Men, Sunday school class, formerly served as treasurer, and was active on the church council. He attended North Carolina State University where he was a member of the wrestling team. While serving in the United States Army Air Corp during World War II, he was a P.O.W. in Germany for 13 months.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Kay T. Booe and her husband Bill and Mrs. Millie T. Langley and her husband Rudy, all of Elon; a son, Mr. Jerry Troxler and his wife Mary of Knoxville, Tenn.; two granddaughters, Tina Pauluzzi and Jennie Langley; four grandsons, Ronnie Booe, Eric Troxler , Todd Troxler , and Willie Langley; 11 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Pauline Nicks of Elon, Mrs. Mildred Gaylord of Jamesville, N.C. and Mrs. Betty Jean Woody of Elon and one brother, Rodger V. Troxler of Salisbury, N.C.
He was preceded in death by five brothers, Therman Troxler , Lloyd Troxler , R.T. Troxler , Donald Troxler , and Keith Troxler and one sister, Inez Troxler .
The funeral will be conducted at Fairview United Methodist Church on Monday, Feb. 5, 2007 at 11 a.m. by the Rev. Jared Hanson. The committal service will follow at the Alamance Memorial Park Mausoleum.
The family will receive friends in the fellowship hall of Fairview United Methodist Church on Monday from 10 to
11 a.m. At other
times they will
be at the residence.
