Wilbur Clayton Bradley


    GRAHAM — Mr. Wilbur Clayton Bradley, 88, of 2250 Swepsonville Road, Graham, died at Alamance Regional Medical Center on Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 9:16 p.m. following two months of failing health.
    A native of Transylvania County, he was the husband of the late Louise Hylton Bradley and the son of Perry Lee Bradley and Myrtle Clayton Bradley, both deceased. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during World War II. He retired after 19 years of service with Burlington Industries Pioneer Plant. He was a member of Swepsonville United Methodist Church.
    Survivors include a stepdaughter, Mrs. Martha Campbell and husband, Pete, of Graham; a stepson, Mr. Donald E. Huffman and wife, Carolyn, of Graham; three sisters, Mrs. Marjorie Harris and Mrs. Elmer Freshwater, both of Mebane, and Mrs. Dot McKinney and husband, Hassel, of Burlington; four stepgrandchildren, Mr. Todd Huffman and wife, Lisa, Mr. Bradley K. Campbell and wife, Teresa, Mrs. Malisa Herring and husband, Alec and Mr. Michael T. Campbell; and four great-stepgrandchildren, Cody Huffman, Macy Huffman, Zach Herring and Bailee Herring.
    He was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Louise Dixon.
    A graveside service will be conducted at Alamance Memorial Park on Sunday, October 26, 2008 at 2 p.m. by the Rev. Jerry Martin.
    The family will receive friends at the Rich & Thompson Funeral Home in Graham on Sunday from 12:30 until 1:30 p.m., and at other times they will be at the residence.
