Mrs. Marie Gwynn Peeples
ELON COLLEGE — Mrs. Marie Gwynn Peeples, 78, a former resident of Gwynn Road, died Thursday, Sept. 20, 2001, at Forsyth Memorial Hospital after a long illness.
A native of Alamance County, she was the wife of the late James Edgar Peeples, and the daughter of Wilbur Lee and Betty Garrison Gwynn, both deceased.
She was retired from Annedeen Hosiery and was a member of Shiloh United Methodist Church.
Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Nancy G.P. Beeson of Winston-Salem; three grandchildren, Nickie Westbrook, Kellie Beeson and Tracie Nedriga; three great-grandchildren, Gary Edward Westbrook, Lindsay Gwynn Nedriga and Christenia Elizabeth Westbrook.
She was preceded in death by a son, James Ray Peeples; two brothers, Thomas Gwynn and Howard “Dink” Gwynn; and a sister, Mrs. Lola Brooks.
The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday at Shiloh United Methodist Church by the Rev. Guy V. Soule Jr., pastor, and the Rev. Dave Gilbert, pastor of Bethlehem Christian Church.
Burial will be in the Shiloh Church cemetery. The family will be at Lowe Funeral Home from 7 to 9 Sunday evening.
