Irene Reagan Simmons, 91, passed away Tuesday, January 12, 2021 at her home with her family by her side. She was born November 22, 1929 in Caswell County to the late Onza Wheeler and Florence Tate Reagan and was married to Brodie Coolidge Simmons for over seventy years. Irene was a member of Concord Christian Church and a loving homemaker. She enjoyed cooking and sharing her treats with others. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her husband Brodie Simmons; a daughter, Lugene (Glenn) Fuquay; grandchildren, Stacie (Gary) Brantley, Kimberly (James) Pickens; great grandchildren, Faith Brantley, Quinn Brantley, Grant Brantley, Carson Pickens and Miles Pickens. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother Wilbert Reagan.
The funeral will be held 2:00 PM Saturday at Concord Christian Church by Rev. Steve Hinton. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Mrs. Simmons will be available for viewing from 1:00 – 1:45 PM Saturday prior to the service at the church. You are invited to attend the service, please use masks and social distancing.
