Carl "Bucky" Fogleman
August 21, 1931 ~ December 1, 2022 (age 91)

Carl “Bucky” Fogleman, 91, of Burlington passed away at AuthoraCare Hospice Home on Thursday, December 1, 2022.

A native of Alamance County, he was the husband of the late Virginia “Jenny” Fogleman and the son of Charlie Webb Fogleman and Sallie Holt Fogleman, both deceased. He was a veteran of the U. S. Air Force serving during the Korean Conflict and was Base Ping Pong Champion. Bucky was a three sports athlete at E. M. Holt High School and continued to play softball until he was in his 50’s. He retired from Kayser-Roth and delivered Meals on Wheels for 10 years. He was a member of Alamance Lutheran Church where he sang in the church choir for over 40 years.

Survivors include two sons, Mark Fogleman and wife Mary Ann of Concord, NC and John Moody of Canal Winchester, OH; daughter, Carla Fogleman Loy and husband Chris of Burlington; grandchildren, Beth Fogleman and husband Robin, Meredith Jorgensen and husband Philip, Baker Loy and wife Hailey, Holt Fogleman and wife Kelly, and Rachel Fogleman; daughter-in-law, Teri Fogleman , and step-great grandson, Camden Jorgensen. He was the last of 14 siblings. He was preceded in death by his son, Todd Fogleman.

The funeral service will be conducted at Alamance Lutheran Church on Sunday, December 4, 2022 at 3:00 p.m. by Pastor Bob Hawkins with the family receiving friends from 2:00 until 2:45 p.m. prior to the service in the church parlor. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
