Jude Ann Summers Mathes was born in North Carolina, but moved to Stone County, MO and married James Mathes on Aug. 16, 1878.
They moved to Douglas County, where they had four children, James Felty, David Luther, Bessie Lee, and Lillie Lucretia.
Jude died Dec. 19, 1916. CREDIT: Information posted to Facebook by Tonja Cox who also states: Jude Summers was the sister in law to my 3x great grand aunt, Nancy Ellen Barnes.
