Mrs. Alma Lowe Andrews
GIBSONVILLE — Mrs. Alma Lowe Andrews, 85, of 6700 Payne-Hardy Road, died Thursday, Oct. 11, 2001, at Moses Cone Memorial Hospital after several months of declining health. A native of Alamance County, she was the wife of the late Ervin T. Andrews, and the daughter of the late Daniel Lowe and Daisy Truitt Lowe. She was a retired employee of Copland Fabrics Inc. and was a member of Apple’s Chapel Christian Church. She was a member and former secretary of the Golden Age Sunday School Class and a member of the Womens Fellowship. She previously attended the Keen Agers Group and the Sunshine Club of the church. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Betty Gerringer of Gibsonville; a son, Tony Andrews of Gibsonville; two grandchildren; one great-grandchild; a sister, Mrs. Kitty Apple of Elon;
and a brother, Vance Lowe of Haw River. She was preceded in death by a son, Danny Joe Andrews; two sisters, Kathryn Lowe and Lillian Apple; and five brothers, Willie Lowe, Ralph Lowe, Clyde Lowe, Blair Lowe and Johnny Lowe. The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at Apple’s Chapel Christian Church by the Rev. Allen Myers, pastor, assisted by the Rev. Lester Stanley, visitation minister, and the Rev. Ray Mims, pastor of Bethel Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Andrews will remain at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory until taken back to the church 30 minutes prior to the service. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at Apple’s Chapel Christian Church from 6 to 8 this evening.
