 GIBSONVILLE — Mr. Homer Lewis Moser, 84, of 224 Brightwood Church Road, died Friday, April 24, 2015, at his residence.
 
 A native of Whitsett, N.C., Mr. Moser was the husband of the late Frances Miles Moser and the son of the late Daniel Alexander Moser and the late Ruth Ingle Moser.
 
 Mr. Moser was a veteran of the U.S. Army and retired from P. Lorillard Tobacco Company. He was a member of Springwood Presbyterian Church. He was very active in the Democratic Party and was always willing to discuss politics. Mr. Moser helped form Boy Scout Troop 265 in the 1960’s and remained active prior to his death.
 
 Mr. Moser is survived by three children, Deborah Troutman of Burlington, Karen Leathers and husband Allen of Centreville, Va. and Jeff Moser and wife Becky of Gibsonville; two grandchildren, Todd Troutman and wife Jan of Burlington and Cole Moser of Gibsonville; Cole’s mother, Lisa Riggins Moser; special friend, Charlotte Ingle; and many special cousins, other family members and friends.
 
 In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Moser was preceded in death by a sister, Clara Cobb.
 
 A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 2, 2015, at Springwood Presbyterian Church. Officiating will be the Rev. Cindy Ingle. There will be a reception immediately following the service in the church fellowship hall. At other times the family will be at the residence.
 
 The family would like to request that all past and present members of Boy Scout Troop 265 sit together as honorary pallbearers at the service.
 
 Memorials may be made to Boy Scout Troop 265, 501 Church Street, Gibsonville, NC 27249 or to Hospice of Greensboro, 2500 Summit Ave., Greensboro, NC 27405.
 
 The family would like to extend a special thanks to Mr. Moser’s caregivers, Mary Lynn Joyce and Diane Jones, for all the wonderful love and support they offered Mr. Moser.
 
 Rich and Thompson Funeral and Cremation Service in Burlington is in charge of arrangements.
