Howard Lee Little
ELON - Howard Lee Little, 81, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, August 4, 2018 at his home. He was a native of Guilford County and the husband of 61 years to Carolyn Gilliam Little who survives.
Howard retired from Cortina Fabrics and was a 1955 graduate of Gibsonville High School. He was a longtime member of Ossipee Baptist Church where he served in the past as a deacon, usher and music director. He was a Mason and member of Tobasco Lodge # 271 in Gibsonville. Howard enjoyed hunting and fishing with his family and friends. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.
Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Gilliam Little of the home; daughter, Judy Little Collins and husband, Joe of Elon and a son, Hal Little and wife, Melissa of Kernersville; grandchildren, Douglas Little, Brooke Wise and husband, John and Adam Little; great grandchildren, Dawson Little, Stormy McGee, Lyndsie Wise and Haley Wise; brother-Alvin Little of Gibsonville and sisters, Lorene Morene and husband Bill and Ethel Smith and husband, Charles all of Gibsonville; sister-in-law, Glenda Little of Gibsonville and sister-in-law, Sandra Little of Reidsville. He was preceded in death by his parents, Marvin Samuel and Effie Lee Smith Little; son, Glenn Howard Little; brothers, Thomas Little and Ray Little.
A service to celebrate his life will be held on Tuesday, August 7, 2018 at 11:00 AM Alamance Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel by Rev. Jerry Johnson. The family will receive friends from 9:45-10:45 AM on Tuesday prior to the service at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory and other times at the home.
Memorials may be made to Ossipee Baptist Church, 2470 Old 87 Hwy, Elon, NC 27244.
