Mrs. Faye Barber Sharpe
BURLINGTON — Mrs. Faye Barber Sharpe, 52, of 612 S. Mebane St.,
died Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2001, at Alamance Regional Medical
Center after 12 years of failing health, and a critical illness of one
week.
A native of Alamance County, she was the wife of Robert E. Sharpe
Sr., who survives, and the daughter of the late Herbert Tate Barber
and Julia Terrell Barber. She was a homemaker and was a member of
Westminster Presbyterian Church.
Survivors other than her husband of the home include two sons,
Robert Sharpe Jr. and wife, Cindy, and James Sharpe and wife,
Elizabeth “Dee-Dee”, all of Burlington; a granddaughter, Julia Renee
Sharpe; and two brothers, Herbert T. Barber Jr. of Burlington and Barry
L. Barber of Hurdle Mills.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Lowe Funeral
Home Chapel by the Rev. Samuel W. Loy. Burial will be in Alamance
Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory
from 6 to 8 this evening, and at other times at the home of a son,
Robert Sharpe Jr., 611 S. Mebane St., Burlington.
