Mark Anthony Hord
REIDSVILLE — Mark Anthony Hord , 46, of 7425 Brooks Bridge Road, Gibsonville, died Monday, April 4, 2005, due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, April 7, 2005, at Citty Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Evergreen Memory Gardens with military rites.
A native of Rockingham County, he was the son of Ava Moore Hord , who survives, and the late Gerald O. Hord , and had lived in Reidsville most of his life. He was an electronic technician with R.F. Micro-Devices in Greensboro and was a member of Baptist Temple Church. He was a U.S. Coast Guard veteran, and received two associate degrees from R.C.C. and a B.S. degree from A&T State University.
Survivors other than his mother of Reidsville include a sister-in-law, Pam Hord of Gibsonville; a nephew, Brent Hord of Reidsville; a niece, Annie Hord of Raleigh; one great-niece; and two greatnephews; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins, who loved him dearly.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Gerald O. "Jerry" Hord Jr.
The family will see friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Citty Funeral Home, and at other times at the home of his mother, 143 Greenbriar Drive, Reidsville.
