GIBSONVILLE — Pauline Violet Hackett Hedrick, age 83, of Abb Road, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, October 28, 2008, at Moses Cone Hospital. She was a native of Guilford County, and the wife of 65 years to William Edward Hedrick, who survives.
Pauline was a homemaker and member of Bethlehem Christian Church. She was a member of the Ever Ready Sunday school class and served on the Communion committee for many years. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who loved spending time with her family.
Survivors include her husband of the home; daughters and sons-in-law, Rachel Burke and her husband, Billy, of Elon, Valetta Perkins and her husband, Paul, of Burlington; sons and daughters-in-law, Colen Hedrick and his wife, Kay, of Gibsonville, C.O. Hedrick and his wife, Donna, of Gibsonville; grandchildren, Shannon Hedrick, Tracy (Phil) Roof, Matthew (Shannon) Hedrick, Michelle (Larry) Kincer, Marcia Melton, Paula (Kevin) King and Kevin Burke; great-grandchildren, Kendall Hedrick, McKenzie Hedrick, Madelyn Roof, Gerald Kincer, Jacob Kincer, Joey Kincer, Preston Melton, Nikolas Melton and Burke Jordan King; greatstepgrandchildren, Zane Kincer and Autumn James.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Rankin and Mamie Earl Summers Hackett.
The funeral service will be held on Friday, October 31, 2008 at 2 p.m. at Bethlehem Christian Church by the Rev. Dave Gilbert and the burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 7 until 9 p.m. on Thursday at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory, and other times at the home.
