Mrs. Alene Sutton Storto
ELON — Mrs. Alene Sutton Storto, 84, formerly of 2453 Ossipee Front
St., died Sunday, April 7, 2002 at Alamance Health Care after nine
years of failing health, two months critical.
A native of Alamance County, she was the wife of the late Tony Storto,
and the daughter of the late James W. Sutton and Fletcher Morene
Sutton. She attended Ossipee Baptist Church and was retired after 44
years of service from Burlington Industries.
Survivors include a daughter, Maryline S. Davis and husband, H.O., of
Elon; two granddaughters, Yvonne Saul and husband, Jeff, of Elon,
and Lenora Wrenn and husband, Alan, of Elon; a grandson, Randy
Davis of Elon; four great-grandsons, Jeffrey Saul, Job Saul, Dustin
Wrenn and Jacob B. Wrenn; a sister, Eunice James of Altamahaw; and
a brother, Charlie Sutton of Burlington.
She was preceded in death by three sisters, Dula Toney, Mamie Taylor
and Hermie Bell; and a brother, James Sutton.
The funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. Tuesday at Altamahaw
Pentecostal Holiness Church by the Rev. Bobby Fann, pastor of Glen
Raven Baptist Church, assisted by the Rev. Dave Gilbert, pastor of
Bethlehem Christian Church. Burial will be in Bethlehem Christian
Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Storto will remain at Lowe Funeral Home until carried to the
church to lie in state 30 minutes prior to the service. The family will
receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 8:30 p.m. tonight, and at
other times at the home of Yvonne and Jeff Saul, 1878 Underwood
Road, Elon.3, Mrs. Alene Sutton Storto
