Mrs. Rosa Stout Andrews

BURLINGTON — Mrs. Rosa Stout Andrews, 88, a former resident of South Queen Ann Street, died at 9 p.m. Wednesday, July 17, 2002, at the home of a daughter, Judy Smith of Forest, Va. after an extended illness.

A native of Randolph County, she was the wife of the late Garland Hall Andrews, and the daughter of the late John W. Stout and the late Melissa Poole Stout.

She was retired from Copland Fabrics, and was a member of Glen Hope Baptist Church and the Courtesy Sunday School Class.

Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Hassell (Sandra) Andrews of Graham, Mrs. Darrell (Janice) Riley of Mebane and Mrs. Clifford (Judy) Smith of Forest, Va.; eight grandchildren, Sherrie Andrews Whitesell, Steve Andrews, Trudy Gonde, Kim Riley Dodson, Tracey Riley Van Schaick, Tara Riley Link, Michael Smith and Shane Smith; and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Willie Hampton Stout and Robert Lee Stout, and sister, Dorothy Stout.

The funeral will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the Rich & Thompson Chapel in Graham by the Rev. William Rice. Burial will be in Moore’s Chapel cemetery.

The family will be at the Rich & Thompson Funeral Home in Graham from 6 to 8 this evening, and at other times, at the residence of a daughter, Sandra Andrews, 710 N. Main St., Graham.
