Edna Louise Boswell Garrison 


    MEBANE — Mrs. Edna Louise Boswell Garrison , 97, of 2502 S. N.C. 119, Mebane, and formerly of Woodland Avenue, Burlington, died at the Presbyterian Home of Hawfields on Tuesday, January 16, 2007 at 5:20 a.m. following several years of declining health.
    A native of Alamance County, she was the wife of the late Edwin Pete Garrison , and the daughter of Edward Levi Boswell  and Bessie Kerr Tapscott Boswell , both deceased. She retired from May Hosiery Mill and was co-owner and bookkeeper of B&B Poultry Market. She was a member of Front Street United Methodist Church.
    Survivors include one half sister, Mrs. Sarah B. Simmons and husband, Elmond, of Burlington; one half brother, Mr. William J. Boswell  and wife, Gina, of Snow Camp; one sister-in-law, Mrs. Margaret Lineberry Boswell  of Burlington; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
    She was preceded in death by one sister, Mrs. Betty Boswell  Jeffreys; and two brothers, Mr. Marvin Tapscott Boswell  and Mr. Edward "Sonny" Leroy Boswell .
    A graveside service will be conducted at Stony Creek Presbyterian Church cemetery on Friday, January 19, 2007 at 3 p.m. by Dr. H. Sidney Huggins.
    The family will greet friends at the Fellowship Hall of Stony Creek Presbyterian Church following the graveside service.
    Memorials may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
    The family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks and appreciation to the staff of Homeplace of Burlington and the Presbyterian Home of Hawfields for their care and kindness. Also a special thanks to Lateshia Torain for being such a wonderful caregiver.
