BURLINGTON — Mrs. Betty Boswell Jeffreys , 91, formerly of 1508 Overbrook Drive, Burlington, died at the Hospice and Palliative Care Center of Alamance-Caswell on Monday, November 13, 2006 at 11:20 p.m.
A native of Alamance County, she was the wife of the late James H. "Joker" Jeffreys , and the daughter of Edward L. Boswell and Bessie Carr Tapscott Boswell , both deceased. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Burlington.
Survivors include two sons, Mr. James L. Jeffreys and wife, Gladys, of Graham and Mr. Richard B. Jeffreys and wife, Laura, of Graham; one sister, Mrs. Edna B. Garrison of Burlington; one half sister, Mrs. Sarah B. Simmons of Burlington; one half brother, Mr. William Boswell of Burlington; and two grandchildren, Ross and Tyler Jeffreys .
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Mr. Edward L. Boswell and Mr. Marvin T. Boswell .
A graveside service will be conducted at Stony Creek Presbyterian Church cemetery on Thursday, November 16, 2006 at 3:30 p.m. by the Rev. Genie Martin. The family will receive friends in the church fellowship hall following the graveside service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Alamance-Caswell, 914 Chapel Hill Road, Burlington, N.C. 27215.
