Mrs. Bennie Lou Hollifield Boswell
BURLINGTON — Mrs. Bennie Lou Hollifield Boswell , 89, of Stoney Mountain Road, passed away Thursday, May 25, 2006, at Presbyterian Home of Hawfields. She was born July 10, 1916 in Madison County, Georgia. She was the daughter of Lucy Leo Swindol Hollifield and John E. Hollifield , and the wife of the late Marvin Tapscott Boswell .
She was a caring mother, a homemaker, worked part time in retail clothing stores and later retired from Tower Mills. She was a member of Stony Creek Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include Jane Boswell Strouse (Richard) of Elon, Robert E. Boswell (Billie Jo), J. Leo Boswell (Jeanne) of Burlington, Marvin T. Boswell (Faye) of Eastover, S.C., six grandchildren; and two greatgrandchildren.
The funeral will be held at the Rich and Thompson Chapel in Burlington on Sunday, May 28, 2006, at 3 p.m. Visitation will begin at 2 p.m. (one hour) prior to the funeral service and burial will be in Pine Hill Cemetery. Other times the family will be at the residence of Leo and Jeanne Boswell , 6312 Stoney Mountain Road, Burlington.
We would like to thank the people that cared for our mother during her declining years and special thanks to Anita Cousin who gave her so much care, love and attention.
Memorials may be made to a charity of choice or to Stony Creek Presbyterian Church, 2140 Stoney Creek Church Road, Burlington, N.C. 27217.
