Susan Denise “Flossie” Pickett Ellis

   PROSPECT HILL — Susan Denise “Flossie” Pickett Ellis, of 13768 N.C. Highway 86 S. received her angel wings Saturday December 28, 2013.

   She was born in Alamance County, February 17, 1963 to Alfred Thomas Pickett and Clara Dodson Pickett. She was a graduate of Rockingham County Senior High School and attended Alamance Community College and Averett University. She wrote and reviewed insurance policies for Blue Cross Blue Shield for twenty five years and she was a member of Carr United Methodist Church and sang in the choir.

   Funeral services will be Monday 2 p.m. at Harrelson Funeral Home Chapel with interment following at Carr United Methodist Church Cemetery, N.C. Highway 49.

   Survivors are husband Lloyd M. Ellis of the home, two daughters Sydney Mikaela of the home and Raegan McDonald Ellis of the home, father Alfred T. Pickett and wife Dona of Greensboro, mother Clara Jean Kappel and husband David, one sister Sarah Louise Pickett of Greensboro, and brother Terry Bruce Pickett of Danville, PA.

   The family will receive friends Sunday December 29, 2013 from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. at Harrelson Funeral Home and other times at the home.

   In lieu of fl owers memorials may be made to Alamance-Caswell Hospice 914 Chapel Hill Road, Burlington, N.C. 27215.
