Florence Parks King 


    BURLINGTON — Florence Parks King , 73, of 2629 Churchill Drive, went home to be with the Lord, Monday, September 10, 2007, at the Hospice Home surrounded by her family.
    Mrs. King  was born October 13, 1933, in Alamance County, to the late Roy Alexander Parks  and Minnie Sue Miles Parks  and she was the wife of the late George Ervin King .
    Mrs. King  was a member of Lakeview Community Church. She was a volunteer at Alamance County Hospital Auxiliary for many years.
    Survivors include her two sons, Terry Lee King  and his wife, Sheila, of Charlotte, N.C. and Randall Jay King  and his wife, Dee, of Mebane; a granddaughter, Emily Paige King ; two grandsons, Jay Robert King  and Russell Jay King ; a sister-in-law, Jean Garrison and her husband, Vernon, of Burlington; a brother-in-law, Billy King  and his wife, Mary, of Melbourne, Fla.; an uncle, Elbridge Boswell of Burlington.
    She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; and brother-in-law, Robert Lee King .
    Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, September 12, 2007, at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Reid Dickens. Entombment will follow at Alamance Memorial Park  Mausoleum.
    Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory, and at other times at the residence.
    In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Alamance–Caswell, 914 Chapel Hill Road, Burlington, N.C. 27215.
