Jean King Crutchfield Garrison, 90, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 2, 2024 at Liberty Commons. She was the wife of 35 years to the late Bobby Vernon Garrison.
Jean was employed for many years with Kernodle Clinic. She was a longtime member of Lakeview Community Church. She was a member of the Happy Timer’s Sunday School Class and chairman of the Women’s Group at the church. Jean was Past President of the PTA in Alamance County. She loved people and was an encourager to her family and friends. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and Aunt.
Jean is survived by her daughter, Susan Oakley of Burlington; step sons, Garry (Nora) Garrison of Florence, SC, Blake Garrison of Clearwater, Fl; grandchildren, Nikki Wright and husband, Jeff, Stephen Oakley, Jessica (Richard) Lee, Bryan Oakley and fiancée, Jess Cline, Courtney (John) Dent and Haley (Andrew) Hardy, Zackary Garrison, Alexis Garrison, Dylan Garrison, Hannah Garrison, Jaxon Garrison, Shauna Johnson and Tamara Jones; great grandchildren, Kaden Raftery, Liam Jay Raftery, CJ Wright, Taylor Wright, Peyton Hardy, Madisonbeth Dent, Jon Grace Dent, Auron Sellaro, Connor Mahaffey and Ayden Sighter; daughter-in-law, Sheree D. Crutchfield of Elon: sister-in-law, Mary King of Greensboro; nieces, Robyn Myrick and Megan King; nephews, Ricky King, Craig King Rocky King, Terry King and Randall (Dee) King and numerous great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Vernon Garrison and of her parents; Edgar Lee and Eva Mae Page King; 1st husband, Jay Ryan Crutchfield; son, Lynn Gerald Crutchfield; step son, Jay Garrison; brothers, Robert Lee King, George Ervin King and Bill R. King.
A service to celebrate her life will be held on Friday, April 5, 2024 at 2:00PM at Lakeview Community Church by Rev. Buck Garrison and burial will follow at Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12:30-1:45PM at the church.
