Mary Sharpe Gibbs

 
 Mary Sharpe Gibbs, 94, died on April 14, 2016.
 
 She lived her life in Burlington until declining health resulted in a move to Georgia.
 
 Preceding her in death were her son, Michael Dermont Gibbs; and her loving husband, Occo Dermont Gibbs, both of Burlington.
 
 Surviving are her great niece, Meissa” Mitze” Taylor-Thomas and husband Lee of Roxboro; great-great-nieces, Melissa Leigh Taylor-Martin of Roxboro, husband Brad and son Jordan, Katie Thomas Morock and husband Mitchell of Timberlake, NC; her great-greatnephew, William Taylor Thomas of Daytona, Fla.; and several other greatnieces and nephews and great-great-nieces and nephews locally and throughout the nation; and special friends at her church and in her old neighborhood.
 
 Mary had many loves in her life. She devoted her life to her loving husband, Occo, and to her church, St.
 
 Paul’s United Methodist Church, 609 Trail Two, Burlington, NC. She also loved her gardens, her flower arranging and her greatgreat-nieces and nephew she called her grandchildren. She brought much joy to every life she touched. Mary was a very loving, devoted woman of God, her church and her husband.
 
 In memory of Mary, contributions may be made to St. Paul’s Methodist Church, 609 Trail Two, Burlington, NC.

 Burial was held at Alamance Memorial Park. She rests beside her husband, Occo Gibbs, where they may live together in internal life. 3, Mary Sharpe Gibbs
