Lillian Lynch Doby 

    GRAHAM — Mrs. Lillian Lynch Doby , 94, of 407 Moser Street, Graham, died at the residence on Friday, February 2, 2007 at 9:25 a.m.

    A native of Stokes County, she was the wife of the late Richard Clarence Doby , and the daughter of Drew William Lynch  and Martha Elizabeth Martin Lynch , both deceased. She was a retired employee of Western Electric Company and a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America. She was a former employee of Rich’s Cafe. She was a member of Glen Hope Baptist Church and the Builders’ Sunday school class.

    Survivors include one son, Mr. James Clinton Doby  and wife, Pat, of Haw River; four sisters, Mrs. Ada Rich of Graham, Mrs. Ethel Smith of Pinnacle, N.C., Mrs. Lula Stewart and Mrs. Ola Gordon, both of King, N.C.; five grandchildren, Richard Doby , Carl Doby , Diane Wood, James R. Doby , and Kenneth Doby ; and six great-grandchildren.

    She was preceded in death by one son, Richard E. Doby ; one sister, Bessie Doby ; five brothers, Fount Lynch , Willie Lynch , Charlie Lynch , Jessie Lynch , and Albert Lynch ; and one grandson, Eric D. Doby .

    The funeral will be conducted at the Rich & Thompson Chapel in Graham on Sunday, February 4, 2007 at 2 p.m. by the Rev. Bennie Smith. Burial will follow in Alamance Memorial Park.

    The family will receive friends at the Rich & Thompson Funeral Home in Graham on Sunday from 1 until 2 p.m. prior to the service, and at other times they will be at residence.
