Obituary Online notes for Norma PEACOCK
Norma Peacock passed away peacefully in her sleep on Dec. 12, 2020 at the Glenn A. Kiser Hospice House in Salisbury. She had been in declining health for the past few years and had become more serious during the past week. Norma was a Salisbury native, and lived here her whole life, having been born in Rowan Memorial Hospital on Oct 23, 1941. She just passed her 79th birthday. She was a member of First Methodist Church and attended Salisbury City schools, graduating from Boyden High in 1962. During her high school years and continuing into adulthood, she was a fanatic Beatles fan, accumulating everything Beatle related she could find, and communicating with Beatle fans in many foreign countries over the years. Her collection of Beatles memorabilia was immense. Norma never married, and lived at home with her mother, becoming a huge help to her in her final years. She was preceded in death by her Mother and Father, Barbara Norman Peacock and Philip N. Peacock, Jr., and her sister Mary Lucy Shelton. She is survived by four sisters and a brother, Barbara Ann Korteling, Phyllis Miller, Katherine Loan, Nancy Linn Bluett and William Emerson (Buck) Peacock; eighteen nieces and nephews. Her ashes will be interred in City Memorial Park Cemetery alongside her Mother and Father. Summersett Funeral Home is serving the Peacock family.
