WILLIAM H. SMITH DIES AT HIS ATLANTA HOME
William H. Smith, aged 56 years, son of the late T. T. and Barbara Boone Smith, died suddenly at 3:30 o'clock yesterday morning at his home in Atlanta. The funeral services will be held at the home Friday afternoon at 3 o'clock.
Mr. Smith has been controller of the a. W. and P. Railroad for 15 years and is prominently known in Charlotte and Atlanta.
Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Mary Van Winkle Smith, and the following brothers and sisters: A. W. Smith, J. A. Smith, Mrs. O. F. Asbury, Sr., Mrs. W. B. Craig, Mrs. J. J. Jones and Mrs. George Norman, all of Charlotte; T. T. Smith of Concord; Mrs. R. S. Wheeler, of Chickamauga, Ga., and Clarence H. Smith, of New York.
