McLEANSVILLE — Thomas Worth "T.W." Michael, age 82, of 5611 Friedens Church Road, passed away Friday, September 5, 2008, at his home.
A native of Guilford County, he was the husband of the late Mary Allred Michael and son of the late E. Rankin and Ola Watkins Michael. He was a selfemployed electrical contractor, a member of the McLeansville Lions Club and Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his daughter, Marie M. Hurst and husband, James, of Elon; son, Steve Thomas Michael of the home; three grandchildren, James Ernest Hurst Jr., Steve Thomas Michael Jr. and Davis Allen Michael; two greatgrandchildren, Nevaeh Shea Hurst and James Michael Hurst; a brother, Lonnie Michael of Mebane; sisters, Hazel Edmonds and husband, Jack, of Whitsett, Ava Riley and husband, Melvin, of Ocean Isle, Edna Tipett of McLeansville, and Nancy Carol Roberts of Gibsonville.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; son, Cecil Worth Michael; brothers, Glen Michael and Fred Michael; sisters, Mozelle Mitchell and Ruby McKeithan.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 8, 2008, at the Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Mike Goode. Interment will follow in Guilford Memorial Park. Mr. Michael will remain at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory through the funeral service.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday, and at other times at Mr. Michael’s residence or the home of his daughter, 206 S. O’Kelly Ave., Elon.
