Pritchette “Bunny” Newton


    BURLINGTON — Mrs. Pritchette “Bunny” Newton, 74, of 2010 Sweetbay Circle, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, June 24, 2011, at 5:25 p.m.
    A native of Alamance County, she was the wife of the late Charles Clyde “Bud” Newton Jr. and the daughter of John E. Beasley and Thelma Rook Beasley, both deceased. She was a retired employee of the State Employees’ Credit Union and a member of Glen Hope Baptist Church.
    Survivors include one daughter, Robin N. Dean and husband Jeff of Clemmons; one son, John C. Newton and wife Norma of Alamance; five grandchildren, Melissa Newton Vaughn and husband Drew, Amanda Nicole Dean, Meghan Elizabeth Newton, Cameron Alan Dean and Brandon Charles Newton; and two great-grandchildren, Jackson Wyatt Vaughn and Tucker Watson Vaughn.
    The funeral service will be conducted at Glen Hope Baptist Church on Monday, June 27, 2011, at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery.
    The family will receive friends at the Rich & Thompson Funeral and Cremation Service in Burlington on Sunday from 4 to 6 p.m. Other times they will be at the residence.
    Memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Alamance-Caswell, 914 Chapel Hill Road, Burlington, NC 27215.
