LIBERTY — Mrs. Martha B. Williams , 88, of 5425 Ferguson Road, Liberty, died Sunday, March 26, 2006, at Moses Cone Memorial Hospital in Greensboro.
A native of Alamance County, Mrs. Williams was the wife of the late Eli Tarrell Williams . She was the daughter of the late John C. Bowman and the late Luetishie Friddle Bowman.
Mrs. Williams is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Luetishia Bradshaw and her husband, Claude, of Liberty; a son, Mr. Billy T. Williams and his wife, Linda, of Liberty; a brother, Mr. James Bowman and his wife, Alma, of Graham; six grandchildren, Matt Williams , Joshua Williams , Jason Bradshaw, Justin Bradshaw, Malissia Coble, Chad Bradshaw; and a great granddaughter, Heaven Leigh Coble.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters and 5 brothers.
A funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 28, 2006 at Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church, where she was a member. She was a member of the Ferguson Circle, the Tabor Circle and taught Sunday school for 30 years. Officiating will be the Rev. Steve Joyce. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the Rich and Thompson Mortuary in Burlington Monday evening, from 6:00 until 8:00. Other times they will be at the residence.
