Mrs. Pearl Mansfield

BURLINGTON — Mrs. Pearl Tulloch Blackwelder Mansfield, 90, of 2814 Mansfield Road, died at 5:25 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 22, 1999, at the Hospice Home after an illness of seven months.

A native of Rockingham County, she was the wife of the late Mr. John Rudy Mansfield, who died in 1991, and the daughter of Mr. David Tulloch and Mrs. Bertie Reid Tulloch, both deceased.

She was a retired employee of Virginia Mills of Swepsonville.

She was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church where she was a member of the Joy Sunday School Class, the United Methodist Women and the Senior Citizen Club.

Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Frances Blackwelder Layton of Graham, Mrs. Carolyn Blackwelder Stewart of Burlington and Mrs. Jo Ann Mansfield Madren of Los Gatos, Calif.; two brothers, Mr. John Tulloch of Pine Bluff and Mr. Robert Tulloch of Durham; a stepsister, Mrs. Marion Butler of Lawrenceville, Ga.; 20 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Bethel United Methodist Church by the Rev. Charlie Litzenberger, pastor, assisted by the Rev. Tommy Willis, pastor of Andrews Memorial Baptist Church.

The body will be placed in the church 30 minutes before the funeral. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will be at Lowe Funeral Home from 6 to 8 Tuesday evening and at other times at the home. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Alamance-Caswell, P.O.
