Mrs. Elizabeth Snead Murray
    BURLINGTON — Mrs. Elizabeth Snead Murray, 79, of 1508 Durham St. died Tuesday, September 9, 2003 following several years of failing health. She was the wife to Luther M. Murray who survives and the daughter to the late Lancelot Snead and the late Virgie Parrott Snead. She was a native of Orange County and a member of Ireland Street Chapel, a former Sunday school teacher and a member of the Ladies Missionary Group.
    Survivors include her husband of the home; daughters, Rebecca Murray Jones of Carnsville, GA, Nancy Murray Overby and her husband Jerry of Burlington; son, Joel A. Murray and his wife Kathy of Bridgeton, N.C.; sisters, Dora S. Wright of Burlington, Katie S. SuChomel and her husband Clarence of Panama City, FL.; six grandchildren; and five greatgrandchildren. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Emma H. Cox, Edna S. Edwards, Ethel H. Thomas; brothers, Patrick Snead, Berkley Snead and Howard Hawker.
    The funeral will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Mr. Eddie Schwartz and Mr. Wayne Jones. Interment will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:30-8 P.M. this evening at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory, and at other times at the home.3, Mrs. Elizabeth Snead Murray
