REIDSVILLE — Howard Stacy Key Sr., 96, of 7929 N.C. Hwy. 150 East, died Monday, June 1, 2009 at his home.
Mr. Key was born in Surry County to the late Gilmer and Lula Brendle Key.
He is survived by his wife of over 72 years, Lou Ellen Brooks Key, of the home and a large extended family.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 4, at Wilkerson Funeral Home with interment following in Osceola Baptist Church cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Wilkerson Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 3, from 6 until 8 p.m. and at other times at the residence.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorial contributions be made to Osceola Baptist Church, c/o Brenda Brown, 5992 Poley Road, Browns Summit, N.C. 27214, or to Hospice of Alamance County, 914 Chapel Hill Road, Burlington, N.C. 27215.
The family would like to express their heartfelt appreciation for the loving care provided by Hospice of Alamance County.
