Frances Murray Holmes

   MEBANE — Frances Murray Holmes, 87, of 7014 Kivette HouseRoad, Gibsonville, went to be with the Lord on Aug. 21, 2010, at White Oak Manor of Burlington.

   Frances was a lifetime member of Florence Memorial Baptist Church in Mebane, N.C. The family would like to thank the Hospice Home of Alamance/Caswell and White Oak Manor of Burlington for all their loving and compassionate care of Mrs. Holmes.

   She is survived by her daughters, Mary Frances Holland of Wilson, Shirley Jean Muckensturm and husband, John, of Burlington, Sandra Abernathy and husband, Tommy, of High Point, Joyce Pore Pedraza of Cedar Grove and Jessie Pore Johnson and husband, Douglas, of Gibsonville; 12 grandchildren,11 great-grandchildrenandthree great-great-grandchildren; two sisters and one brother.

   She was preceded in death by her parents, Louie Aubrey Murray and Mabel Rice Murray; one sister and one brother.

   The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 24, 2010, at Florence Memorial Baptist Church in Mebane with the Rev. James Florence officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Zion Church Cemetery in Mebane.

   Visitation will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday, Aug. 23, 2010, at McClure Funeral Home, 1308 S. Third St., Mebane and other times at the residence of Jessie Johnson, 7014 Kivette House Road Gibsonville, NC 27249.
