Mrs. Patsy “Pat” Bennett Florence, 73, of Haw River, NC passed away on Thursday, January 12, 2023 at The Hospice Home in Burlington.

Born and raised in West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Thaddeus O. Bennett and Iris J. Bennett.

Pat enjoyed crafting, sewing, and making quilts. She was a devoted Wife, Mother and Grandmother who will be greatly missed.

Pat is survived by her husband, Calvin J. Florence Sr., her sons, David W. Florence and Calvin “Joey” Florence, Jr. and his wife Makayla, her grandchildren, Kaleb Florence, Leslie Hall, Jaxon Florence, Chace Florence & Claire Florence, a sister, Shirly Terrell (Ray) her brother Thad Bennett Jr. (Delores) and her brother Ronnie Bennett as well as several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 28, 2023, at 1:00pm at Florence Memorial Baptist Church located at 939 N. Gibson Road Mebane, NC  27302. The church will open two hours prior to the service for any floral arrangement deliveries. A dinner will follow in the fellowship hall for family and friends to gather and share a meal as we reflect on memories of Pat.  If you feel led to do so, please bring a covered dish of your choice.
On behalf of the family, we would like to thank everyone for all the thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.  The prayers have been felt and are appreciated.
