Mr. Charlie  Kiser "Banks" Huffines  Jr.


    ELON — Mr. Charlie  Kiser "Banks" Huffines  Jr., 84, of The Oakes, died Thursday, January 24, 2008, at Alamance Regional Medical Center.
    A native of Alamance County, he was the husband of the late Louise Cantrell Huffines  and the son of the late Charlie  Kiser Huffines  Sr. and Lelia Hall Huffines . He was retired from Cannon Mills and was a member of New Heights Baptist Church in Eden. He was a U.S. Navy veteran.
    Survivors include a son, Harold Huffines  and wife, Jude, of Whitsett; grandchildren, Harold Huffines  Jr. of Elon and David Huffines  and wife, Katheryn, of High Point; sisters, Helen Hensley and husband, Bobby, of Elon, Frances Stutts and husband, Edgar, Doris Ward and husband, Ronald, Ann Brown and husband, Jack, and Lala Dameron and husband, Ray, all of Burlington; a brother, Arnold Huffines  and wife, Mary, of Florida.
    He was preceded in death by a brother, Billy Huffines .
    A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, January 25, 2008, at Alamance Memorial Park by the Rev. Tommy Love and the Rev. Delmar Scotton. The family will receive friends following the graveside service.
    McClure Funeral Home of Graham is in charge of arrangements.
