Jack Irvin Brown
BURLINGTON — Jack Irvin Brown, age 80, of Huffines Drive, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, March 21, 2008, at his home.
He was a native of Guilford County and the husband of 34 years to Lelia Ann Huffines Brown, who survives.
Jack retired from Glen Raven Mills after many years. He was a member of Wicker Street Baptist Church, where he served as an usher and was a member of the Adult Bible Class. Jack was a loving and devoted husband.
Survivors include his wife of the home; sisters, Ada Lee Pickrell of Reidsville and Pauline Cook of Elon; brothers and sisters-in-law, Bobby Brown of Elon, Clyde Brown of Browns Summit, Harvey Brown and his wife, Doris, of Browns Summit and Worth Brown and his wife, Thelma, of Browns Summit; numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Ollie Jones Brown; and a brother, John Brown.
A graveside service will be held on Sunday, March 23, 2008, at 3 p.m. at Bethel United Methodist Church cemetery by the Rev. Tommy Love.
The family will receive friends from 3 until 5 p.m. on Saturday at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory, and other times at the home.
