George Cecil Mclntyre
ALTAMAHAW -- Final rites for George Cecil Mclntyre, 70, of Altamahaw, were held this afternoon at 4 o'clock at Bethlehem United Church of Christ.
Rev. Charles Bell, pastor, and the Rev. Dolon Talbert, pastor of St. John's United Church of Christ of Burlington. Burial followed in the church cemetery.
Mr. McIntyre died Sunday morning in a local hospital following several years of failing health.
A native of Alamance County, he was the son of the late Robert McIntyre and Cornelia Baldwin McIntyre. He was a retired superintendent of the cloth room at the Pioneer Plant of Burlington Industries, a member of Bethlehem United Church of Christ, where he was a former deacon and custodian, and a Veteran of World War I.
Surviving is one sister, Mrs. Rosa Tickle of Altamahaw. 467
