Anna Bonds "Bonnie" Andrews Russell
DURHAM — Mrs. Anna Bonds "Bonnie" Andrews Russell of Welcome Drive, Durham, died Tuesday, November 11, 2008 at 4:30 a.m. at Hillcrest Convalescent Center, Durham.
A native of Alamance County, she was the wife of Byron M. Russell, who survives, and the daughter of Cecil H. Andrews and Bertha White Andrews Fidler, both deceased. She was a Public Health Nurse for Alamance County and later retired from the Durham County Health Department in 1981. She was a member of the First Reformed United Church of Christ, Burlington, N.C.
In addition to her husband of the home, survivors include a brother, Harris H. Andrews of Burlington; a niece, Ellen H. Andrews of Elon; and a nephew, James H. Andrews of Burlington.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Ronald W. Andrews.
A graveside service will be conducted at Pine Hill Cemetery on Friday, November 14, 2008 at 11 a.m. by the Rev. Phil Myers.
The family will receive friends at the Rich & Thompson Funeral and Cremation Service in Burlington on Thursday from 6 until 8 p.m.
