Mrs. Beverly Lineberry Andrews
BURLINGTON — Mrs. Beverly Lineberry Andrews , 90, a resident of Greensboro Place and formerly of Burlington, died at her residence at 2:35 p.m. Saturday, April 7, 2007.
A native of Alamance County, she was the wife of the late Robert M. Andrews and the daughter of the late Charles W. Lineberry and the late Amie Truitt Lineberry Powell.
Mrs. Andrews attended the Burlington City Schools and following the death of her husband, she graduated from the Troutman School of Cosmetology. She owned and operated Beverly’s Beauty Shop for over 25 years.
Mrs. Andrews was a long time member of the First Reformed United Church of Christ in Burlington and a member of the Ladies Bible Class. She continued to enjoy her church even after moving to Greensboro Place, where she enjoyed the Bible lessons.
She is survived by her son, Darryl D. Andrews and his wife, Mae, of Greensboro; two grandchildren, Robert C. Andrews and his wife, Carol, of Jamestown, Karen Andrews Comeford and her husband, James, of Oak Ridge, N.C.; four great-grandchildren; and a brother, Worth G. Lineberry of Burlington. She was preceded in death by a brother, W. Howard Lineberry .
The family will receive friends at the Rich and Thompson Mortuary in Burlington on Tuesday, April 10, 2007, from 10 until 10:45 a.m. A funeral service will then be held in the Rich and Thompson Chapel at 11 a.m. Officiating will be the Rev. Phillip Myers. Burial will follow at Alamance Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made to the First Reformed United Church of Christ, 513 W. Front Street, Burlington, N.C. 27215 or to Hospice and Palliative Care of Greensboro, 2500 Summit Ave., Greensboro, N.C. 27405.
The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the staff at Greensboro Place and the staff of Hospice and Palliative Care for the kind and loving care Beverly received.
