Robert Christopher Tate, 16, passed away on Tuesday, January 21, 2014 at UNC Hospitals. He was born in Alamance County and was the son of Tonya and Jeremiah Jenkins. He was a sophomore at Williams High School, attended Trinity Worship Center and was taking classes at Bushido Judo School.
He is survived by his parents of the home; brother, Justin Tate of Graham; maternal grandparents, Linda (Robert) Stewart, Sr. of Burlington; paternal grandfather, Dale Tate of Elon and an uncle, Robert "Bobby" Wayne Stewart, Jr. of Whitsett.
The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Monday at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Darrell Cox with burial to follow at Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 12:30-1:45 Monday prior to the service at the funeral home and other times at the residence, 852 S. Main St., Apt. 2, Burlington or his grandmother's residence, Linda Stewart, 110 James Drive, Burlington.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in memory of Robert to Lowe Funeral Home & Crematory, 2205 S. Church St., Burlington, NC 27215.
