LIBERTY — Joel Weldon Fogleman, 90, of 2101 NC 61 South, died on Wednesday at Alamance Regional Medical Center. He was a native of Guilford County and the son of the late Lacy and Martha Isley Fogleman.
Weldon was a member of Low’s Lutheran Church and a member of the Retreads Motorcycle Club. He was retired from Staley Hosiery Mills after working in textiles most of his life.
Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Alma Lou and Glenn Shaw of Gastonia, NC; sons and daughters-in-law, Arthur V. and Joyce Fogleman and Alvis William and Peggy Fogleman, all of Liberty; nine grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Verna Dare Holt Fogleman, sons, Joel and Holt Fogleman and a brother, Alvis Fogleman.
The funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 19, 2003, at 11:00 AM at the Low’s Lutheran Church by Rev. Brian Ballard with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM this evening at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory and at other times the family will be at the son’’ home, Arthur V. Fogleman, 7118 Nature Road, Liberty, NC 27298.
