Mrs. Maude Jordan Huffines 

BURLINGTON — Mrs. Maude Jordan Huffines, 84, of 124 Tarpley Street, Apt. 202, died Tuesday, July 29, 2003, at Alamance Regional Medical Center.

She was born in Wayne County, NC to the late Frank Blair Jordan and the late Bessie Bizzell Jordan and was the wife to the late Leo C. Huffines who died in 1995.

Mrs. Huffines retired from Carolina Biological Supply Company after 30 years of service.

She was a member of St. Mark’s Reformed Church, Home Demonstration Club and the Women’s Bible Study Group.

Survivors include daughters, Judy Walker Reese of West Jefferson, NC and Mary Wagoner of Whitsett; son, Douglas Huffines of Burlington; six grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and sister, Estelle Thompson of Burlington.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, brother, Henry Jordan and sisters, Lucy Browning, Ethel Thompson and Annie Lou Jernigan.

The funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Friday, August 1, 2003 at St. Mark’s Reformed Church by the Rev. Bob Disher and Rev. Ben Bishop. The family will receive friends at the church from 12:30-2:00 PM prior to the service and other times at the son’s home, Douglas Huffines, 3256 Mansfield Road, Burlington.
