BURLINGTON — Mrs. Estelle Conklin Huffines, 71, of 922 Burlington Ave., died Tuesday morning, Aug. 19, 2003, at her residence.
A native of Guilford County, Mrs. Huffines was the wife of the late Rudolph Ray Huffines and the daughter of Andrew Holt Conklin and Lillian Tickle Conklin, both deceased. She was retired from Kayser-Roth Hosiery and a member of Gibsonville Christian Church, and former choir member.
Survivors include one sister, Doris Conklin Ammons of Greensboro; three brothers, John Frank Conklin of Leesboro, Fla., Daniel William "Bill" Conklin of Burlington, and Bobby Lee Conklin of Gibsonville.
In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Huffines was preceded in death by two brothers, Charlie Holt Conklin and Hubert Lewis Conklin.
The funeral will be conducted Thursday, Aug. 21, 2003, at 2 p.m. at the Gibsonville Christian Church by the Rev. Hobart Isley, pastor, and Dr. Terry Prichard, pastor of Eastlawn Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Alamance Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Lowe Funeral Home & Crematory and at other times at the residence. 3, Mrs. Estelle Conklin Huffines
