Clyde Daniel Woody
   Clyde Daniel Woody, 90, of Winter Park, Florida, passed away on Thursday, December 23, 2010 in Daytona Beach, Florida.

   Mr. Woody was born on March 20, 1920, in Caswell County, N.C. to the late Johnnie Edward and Mae Fuqua Woody. He is also preceded in death by wife, Beulah W.Woody; two brothers, James Woody, R.F. Woody; and one sister, Doris Woody.

   Surviving family includes one son, Don Woody (Jo) of HighPoint:onedaughter,Faye Hodges (Andy) of Kernersville: one brother, Carl Woody (Annie C) of Burlington; and one sister, Alma Debruler (Carl) of Burlington: five grandchildren, Donnie Woody, Jeff Woody, Jay Hodges, Steve Hodges, and Tracy Purdie; 10 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

   Mr. Woody served in the U.S. Navy during World War II as an electrician. He moved to Florida in 1970 and retired from Lakeside Manor in 1996.

   A memorial service will be Saturday morning at 11 a.m. at Stony Creek Presbyterian Church in Burlington, N.C. Pastor Clark Vincent of First Presbyterian Church in Kernersville will officiate. The burial will be in the church cemetery followed by a visitation and luncheon with the family in the church fellowship hall.

   The family would like to acknowledge the wonderful care our dad received (especially from Mel) at Indigo Manor and from the Chaplain, social workers, and all the nurses from Hospice in Daytona Beach, Florida.
