OBITUARIES Mrs. Mildred Crabtree "Maw Maw" Coble
SNOW CAMP — Mrs. Mildred Crabtree "Maw Maw" Coble, 82, of 4434 Bass Mountain Road, died Friday, Sept. 19, 2003, at her home after three years of failing health and a critical illness of one week.
A native of Alamance County, she was a homemaker and a member of Mt. Hermon United Methodist Church where she was a member of the Women’s Circle #1. She was a charter member of the Alamance County Hospice League, and a member of the Home Demonstration Club.
Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Marilyn (Jim) Robbins of Snow Camp, Mrs. Wanda Sue (Donald) Somers of Graham and Ms. Eva Long of Snow Camp; one son, Dalton (Tanya) Coble of Graham; a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Rhonda Coble of Graham; grandchildren, Darryl Pegg, Dana Windsor, Mike (Jennifer) Coble, Crystal Coble, Candace Coble, Karen (Gary) Malone, Kevin Coble, Megan Lewis, Beverly (Steve) Young, Marsha (Torrey) White, Kendal (Mike) Capps, and Patrick Somers; great-grandchildren, Lewie and Wendy Coble, Dusty Coble, J.W. Pegg, Darryl Pegg II, Stephanie and Katie Pegg, Dylan Arnold, Megan Mims, Roney Malone; great-greatgrandchild(expected) Jaylen Coble; brothers, Ernest Crabtree of Burlington and Joe Crabtree of Graham.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lonnie James Coble; a son, James Leonard Coble; a grandchild, Jeff Pegg; parents, James Alfred and Flossie Netta Coble Crabtree; brother, Dewey L. Crabtree; and sisters, Mabel Curtis, Nina Justice, Clara Allison.
The funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 21, 2003, at Mt. Hermon United Methodist Church by the Rev. Joe Wilburn, pastor. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends at McClure Funeral Home in Graham from 6 to 8 this evening, and at other times, at the home.
