Mr. Robah Clinton LaMarr
GIBSONVILLE — Mr. Robah Clinton LaMarr, 84, died Saturday, October 18, 2003 at his residence. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday, October 20, 2003 at Friedens Lutheran Church, where he was a member, with Pastor Kristina Johnson officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Mr. LaMarr was born on July 12, 1919 in Guilford County, a son of the late Charlie Leroy and Tina Bell Edwards LaMarr and was a lifelong resident of Guilford County. He was a farmer, a carpenter and retired from the City of Greensboro. Survivors include a daughter, Eleanor Tardif of Savannah, Ga.; two sisters, Venitia H. Edwards of Greensboro and Lucille Martin of Gibsonville; three brothers, Jack LaMarr of McLeansville, and Sanford LaMarr and Ray LaMarr, both of Gibsonville; a grandson, Walter D. Rankin II of Savannah, Ga.; and several Nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Violet Bessie LaMarr, in 1995. The family will receive friends from 6-8 P.M. this evening at Forbis and Dick Funeral Home, N. Elm Street. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice at Greensboro, 2500 Summit Ave., Greensboro, NC 27405 or to Friedens Lutheran Church, 6001 N.C. HWY 61 N., Gibsonville, NC 27249. A special thanks to the hospice nurses at Cone Hospital and home care.
