Mr. David Cecil Pulliam
BURLINGTON — Mr. David Cecil Pulliam, 75, of 1104 Sandy Cross Road, died at 8:50 a.m. Friday, Oct. 31, 2003, at Dosher Memorial Hospital in Southport, N.C. after four months of failing health.
A native of Person County, he was the husband of the late Annie Warren Pulliam, and the son of the late Grover Cleveland Pulliam and Sarah Clayton Pulliam. He was retired from the North Carolina Department of Transportation and was a member of Surl Primitive Baptist Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Mary Kay Andrews and husband, Danny, of Oak Island, and Judy Ross and husband, Mike, of Burlington; four sons, Wallace Ray Pulliam and wife, Carla of Burlington, John Pulliam and Thomas Pulliam, both of West Palm Beach, Fla., and James C. Pulliam and wife, Debra, of Stuart, Fla.; 10 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a special friend, Barbara Vaughn.
He was preceded in death by a brother, J.W. Pulliam; and three sisters, Ruth Simpson, Naomi Webster, and Annie Mae Duncan.
The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday, Nov. 3, 2003, at Surl Primitive Baptist Church in Roxboro by Elder David Minnow. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the McClure Funeral Home in Graham from 6 to 9 p.m. Sunday, and at other times at the residence.
