RANDLEMAN - Mrs. Melba Ann Jobe, 69, went home to be with our Lord on Monday, October 3, 2011 at Beacon Place.
A funeral service will be Wednesday, October 5, 2011 at 1 p.m. at Pleasant Garden Baptist Church with Rev. Michael Barrett officiating. Burial will follow in Guilford Memorial Park.
Mrs. Jobe lived a full life as a loving wife, mother, friend, grandmother, and will be missed beyond measure. She was born in Guilford County to the late Curtis Durant and Nellie LaFayette Southard Jobe. She loved attending Pleasant Garden Baptist Church. She spent her life as a mother and homemaker. She also made window treatments for thirty years. Her hobbies included oil painting on canvas, and drawing house plans, which she enjoyed to the very end.
She is survived by her husband Donald Langston, Sr. of Randleman; daughter Deborah H. Young and husband David of Randleman; sons James C. Hicks and wife Theresa of Greensboro, Timothy X.D. Hicks and wife Teri of Climax, and Amy H. Turner and husband Tab of Climax; step-son Dennis Langston of High Point.
Also surviving are her ten grandchildren that loved her dearly.
