Olivia Louise Smith Pender
   MEBANE, N.C. — Olivia Louise Smith Pender, 94, passed away Oct. 23, 2013, at Rex Longterm Care, Raleigh, N.C.

   Louise was the daughter of the late Ubert Coleman Smith and Late Verdie Faucette Smith, and wife of the late Thomas Everette Pender.

   Louise was a member, for many years, of Mebane United Methodist Church and previously the Mebane First Baptist Church. She also retired from Central Carolina Bank where she worked as a Secretary.

   Louise leaves behind a son, Isaac Murdock of Raleigh; sister, Margaret S. Barber of Gibsonville, N.C.; grandchildren, Megan Elizabeth Murdock, John Michael Murdock and James Andrew Murdock, all of Raleigh; daughter-inlaw, Denise Siler Murdock; and a host of nieces and nephews whom she greatly loved; sister-in-law, Evelyn Smith; and brother-in-law, Otis Whitesell.

   In addition to her parents and husband, Louise is preceded in death by a sister, Helene S. Whitesell; and brothers, J. Lacy Smith of Gibsonville and Mitchell Smith. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 25, 2013, at McClure Funeral Home in Mebane N.C.

   A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 26, 2013, at Mebane United Methodist Church with burial to follow in the Shiloh United Methodist Church cemetery in Gibsonville N.C.

   In lieu of fl owers, donations may be made to Mebane Methodist Church or Hospice of Wake County Inc., 250 Hospice Circle, Raleigh, NC 27607.
