Obituary Online notes for Robert Lewis ARMACOST
Robert Lewis Armacost Sr., 83, died in the home of his son, 3312 St. Catherines Way, Tuesday at 1 p.m.
Mr. Armacost was born in Thurmont, Md., and spent most of his life in Norfolk. He was retired second generation and previous owner of Credit Service, past president and founder of the Virginia Collectors Association, a graduate of Elon College and former Scoutmaster for the Boy Scouts of America, Troop (NU)31, sponsored by the First Lutheran Church of Norfolk.
Surviving are one son, Robert L. Armacost Jr.; one grandson, Steven R. Armacost of Virginia Beach; and one granddaughter, April L. Armacost of Norfolk; two stepsons, Maxie Bryant and Fletcher Bryant.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday in Forest Lawn Cemetery by Pastor James G. Cobb. H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Colonial Ave. Chapel, Norfolk, is handling arrangements. The family has requested that expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to the Alzheimer's Disease & Related Disorders Association, Hampton Roads Chapter 20, Suite 233 Koger Executive Center, Norfolk, VA 23502.
