Virginia Ellington Allred Frazier
BURLINGTON — Mary Virginia Ellington Allred Frazier, 87, passed away Tuesday, September 15, 2015, at the Homeplace. She was born Sept. 8, 1928, in Danville, VA to the late Frederick and Thelma Crews Ellington. She was married to the late William
C. Allred and then the late Kenneth G. Frazier. She was a member of Holly Hill Baptist Church. Mary had retired from Tower Hosiery Mill and worked part time at Tuesday Morning. She was a skilled seamstress who loved to sew using her talents for gifts for others. She supported missions through her women’s group at church always doing for others especially with sweet treats. Even though she had no children of her own she loved and was loved by her nieces, nephews and stepchildren and was affectionately known as Aunt Ginny.
Survivors include her stepchildren, Teresa Allen, Cindy Priddy, Greg Frazier; four stepgrandchildren; one great-stepgrandchild. She was preceded in death by her husbands; parents; a sister Carlene Amick; brothers, Merion Ellington and Maynard Ellington.
The funeral will be held 2 p.m. Monday, Sept. 21, 2015, at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Randy Godwin. Interment will follow in Alamance Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends 1-1:45 p.m. Monday at Lowe Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc. prior to the service.
