Pauline Wood Rackley Wilson

GRAHAM – Mrs. Pauline Wood Rackley Wilson, of 1908 Broadway Drive, Graham, NC, known as “Polly” to those she loved and that loved her went home to be with our Lord and Savior on Thursday May 10, 2018 after 5 years of declining health.
Polly was preceded in death by her parents, L. Freeman and Nina Southard Wood; a beloved son, James F. Rackley; a brother, Leondis Wood; sisters, Jeanette Wood, Laura W. Murray, sister (and brothers in law), Minnie W. Moser (Deone), and Agnus W. Blanchard (Kenneth “Skinney”).

Polly was survived by her daughters, Norma R. Long (Warren), and Jane R. Wall (Jerry); grandson, Kelly Wall (Rosemarie); granddaughters, Susan L. Sarvis (Brandon), Kim L. Cobb (Joey) and Angie W. Hall (Jeff); great-grandchildren, Ashleigh Huey, Emma Huey, Skylar Sarvis, JC Cobb, Mason Cobb, Kinley Cobb, Nadia Wall, Luke Wall, Jordan Wall, Lee Sharpe, Kelly Hall and Alex Hall; five nieces and nephews and a special loving niece, Tracy Swangin.
Polly was retired from Woolworth’s and was very proud to have received her cosmetology licenses at the age of 65. She was a member and Elder at Westminster Presbyterian Church where she loved her Church and Church family. She loved to garden and spend time outdoors. She always had a special love for her son, Jimmy and was known for her beautiful smile.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, May 13, 2018 at the Westminster Presbyterian Church at 1126 West Webb Ave. Burlington with the Pastor Powell Sykes officiating.
Burial will follow in Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 p.m. on Saturday May 12, 2018 at the McClure Funeral Home in Graham and other times at the residence of her daughter, Norma on Broadway Drive, Graham.
